What a blessing to be with this family! We politely asked baby girl to join us, and after 55 hours of being in the hospital, with in person support with @annabellehodgesdoula_ she entered the outside world!
After all of the changes, this mama looked at her midwife and said “I want you to know that I am excited to feel labor and experience it. I have been waiting for this .” And my heart melted. She did just that.
Once things picked up she looked at me and said “Whatever you think I need to do I’ll do it!” And that she did. We did position changes until I could tell it was time to rest and labor down. Just 4 hours after her water broke (which immediately put her into active labor) her baby was in her arms.
