I met Sarah at a local coffee shop and we chatted about her previous birth experiences and how she wanted this one to be different. We chatted about supportive providers and the importance of listening to our intuition and advocacy.
Although her birth did not go as planned, she handled it all with grace and bravery. Watching her and her husband loving on Olen was so peaceful 
I met her at the hospital and was allowed to wait in preop with her and then again be with them in post op. Dad had to run back and help with the older kiddos, and I stayed to support mama and baby until he returned.
Doula support doesn’t always look like what we always think it will, but I’m here for it all!
