We had chatted early Friday morning about the possibility of being told an induction would be needed for gestational hypertension. All of the questions they could ask, how to advocate for herself and to listen to what her intuition was telling her. I got a text later that day that they had decided to go ahead with meeting their sweet girl a little sooner than planned.
Of course there was times of being anxious, but there were more moments of calm. With her husband cracking jokes and grabbing her favorite snacks, to the quiet, calming and tense moments of her and her body working together to bring her baby closer to her. Her goal even with induction was to go with having the least amount of intervention as possible, and she did amazing breathing and trusting and was able to birth her baby!
